After Mt. Olivet Church recording we headed down to Whitesburg KY to see one of the best banjo pickers, John Haywood.
We met him at his beautiful tattoo shop he owns, and recorded several tunes. He also told us lots of stories about songs, and how he learned playing banjo from his mentors Lee Sexton and George Gibson. How great if you could learn how to play banjo from these 2 legends... and John's playing shows how he do master various Kentucky banjo styles and passes those great traditions to his generations. He is really wonderful.
